Class: Senior

Position: DL

HT: 6’4

WT: 292 lbs

Sideline Prospect Ranking: #60

Background: Braden Fiske was actually an interior offensive lineman before his college career. He was a right guard with a high motor and excellent movement skills. He was a consensus 3-star offensive lineman from Michigan City, Indiana. For three consecutive seasons, Fiske was named an all-conference selection. In his senior year, he helped Michigan City High School make the state semifinals. Fiske also played baseball in high school. Braden Fiske committed to Western Michigan over Illinois State.

College: He redshirted his first season and began to play a serious role by his second. In 5 seasons with Western Michigan, Fiske started 30. He was a Second Team All-MAC member in 2022 after putting up impressive numbers. After a lengthy career at Western Michigan, Fiske transferred to Florida State. Braden Fiske dominated as a transfer for the Seminoles. He made an immediate impact, starting all 13 games. He recorded 6 sacks and 43 tackles. Fiske was named a Third Team All-American. Fiske then went on to dominate the combine. He had underwhelming measurements, but he was able to clock in much better in the athletic portions as well as the strength tests.

Strengths: Being able to run a sub 4.80 40-yard dash at his size is impressive and it translates to the field. He is excellent in pursuit of the ball. Out of his stance, he explodes and can immediately set the edge before his opponent has a chance to his foundation. His strength is shown in the phone booth, where he is able to win those hard nose battles at the point of attack to muddy the pocket. Fiske stuffs the run well whether he is set on the edge or on the interior. He plays with a high level of effort and never slows down. Braden Fiske has undesirable measurements.

Weaknesses: At the combine, he measured in poorly for both hand size and arm length. His lack of size results in Fiske being a little stiff out of his stance, losing the battle for leverage often.

Conclusion: Fiske will provide solid depth with versatility to play either on the inside or the edge. With some of his natural tools being lackluster, he may not become a true star, but can impact a team nonetheless.
