Sideline Prospect Ranking: #94

Background: Erick All was a 4-star tight end in high school. He was a consensus top 15 tight end in the country for the class of 2019. All was also a top 15 player in the state of Ohio. Originally from Fairfield, Ohio, Erick played for Fairfield High School. Erick All was named First Team All-Greater Miami Conference. On top of being one of the top tight ends in the country, he also earned Special Teams’ MVP as a senior. He was the main offensive weapon on a Fairfield team that reached the state playoffs three straight seasons. Out of high school, Erick All committed to Michigan over Indiana, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.

College: The first two seasons that All spent at Michigan were mainly spent on special teams. In those two seasons, he only managed 13 receptions for under 100 yards. In his 3rd year, All broke out as an All-Big 10 honorable mention member. He became a regular starter and a main contributor on a loaded offense. Before the 2022 season, Erick transferred to Iowa. In a much-anticipated season, he got injured early on and he missed the rest of his debut season for Iowa. All, once again, suffered a season-ending injury in 2023. A torn ACL caused him to miss the second half of the season. All was a Midseason All-American in 2023 before going down with an injury that costed him the 2nd half of the season.

Strengths: Erick All may not be the tallest tight end, but he is a densely packed, strong individual who can win reps with power. While he is a more dense player, he does not sacrifice movement for size. He is explosive off the line of scrimmage and can get out in space quickly. He finds those soft spots to sit back in the open space and wait for the football. All does a good job to look the ball in and quickly turn up field to gain extra yardage. He can line up in the slot as well as on the line.

Weaknesses: While Erick is a strong player, he needs to improve as a run blocker. He fails to maintain a good pad level and in space he gets too high, resulting in a loss of leverage. As a route runner, All struggles to diagnose different defensive schemes. He is also not the fastest player. All will not burn a defense and gets hawked down in the deeper areas of the field.

Conclusion: If Erick All can become a more consistent run blocker, the questions in his game would be rather minimal. A healthy Erick All is a playmaker in every facet of the game. All is a high floor, low ceiling type of player.
