School: Kansas State (Junior)

Position: EDGE

HT: 6’3

WT: 252 lbs

Sideline Prospect Ranking: #47

Felix Anudike-Uzomah was a local 3-star recruit in high school, just outside of Kansas City. He enjoyed a decorated college career that led him to seeing time on the field right away as a freshman. He has seemingly improved in every season since his freshman year. Has earned numerous All-American bids from different outlets and named to multiple award watchlists.

As for his on-the-field play, he is a powerful player with a big frame that is hard to slow down. Felix uses his size and strength on the edge when he bullrushes offensive linemen, walking them back into the backfield until he can disrupt the quarterback. He has no problem going straight into the chest of the biggest linemen in the country and knocking them back off their anchor. Anudike-Uzomah is as solid as they come for run defenders on the edge. He does a great job of recognizing what is occurring at the mesh point and can decipher between play action and run plays. He doesn’t appear to be too eager to rush towards the ball, instead he displays patience at the line of scrimmage and waits for the play form in front of him before pouncing on the ball carrier. Anudike-Uzomah is big enough and effective enough that he was also tasked with lining up as a 3-tech in obvious running situations to act as a penetrating run stuffer. When looking at areas of Felix’s game that can use some work, his pass rush versatility comes to mind.

There is no questioning the fact that he has been an elite pass rusher in the Big 12 for his entire career, and he has the volume statistics to prove it. However, once he is in the NFL he will not be able to solely rely on his bullrush to walk offensive tackles backwards into the backfield. He will need to develop a more wide range of pass rushing moves to prevent himself from becoming too predictable at the point of attack. Additionally, Felix Anudike-Uzomah is somewhat of a raw prospect in all areas of his game. He will need to become more technically refined as both a run defender and as a pass rusher. Patience will be required with him early on in his career, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be able to contribute to winning football right away.

Overall, Felix Anudike-Uzomah is a promising player with an amazing ability to stuff and defend the run from the edge, while also showing strength in pass rush sets. If he can build a wide repertoire of pass rushing moves then he will have the opportunity to mold himself into a truly complete football player.
