Background: Cameron Williams was a 3-star offensive tackle out of Duncanville, Texas. Williams was a top 100 player in Texas for the class of 2022. In all four years at Duncanville High School, Williams was an all-district selection. He won multiple district titles and appeared in a state championship game for the powerhouse Texas program. Out of high school, Williams committed to Texas over Oregon, Oklahoma, and Miami.

College: Williams played in jumbo packages for his first two seasons as a Longhorn before becoming the starting right tackle in 2024.

Strengths: Cameron Williams provides a huge frame at the right tackle position. He is a mauler in the run game and finishes his matchup into the ground. He takes pride in completely embarrassing his opponent. He moves well despite possessing such a massive frame. Williams’ biggest wins come as a pass protector. His size and strength allow for him to absorb the strongest of edge rushers without being walked back into the pocket. He has a strong anchor that he is able to plant as soon as he kicks out. Williams has a strong initial punch that sets the tone on every rep, often stunning his opponent. He has long arms that he uses to keep defenders at bay and the grip strength to prevent them from shedding any blocks. While Williams does not have elite speed or quickness to combat speed off the edge, he has the technique and impressive footwork to battle with edge rushers and allows them to work themselves behind the play.

Weaknesses: Williams is slow to get to the second level in the run game. When he gets there, he does well to finish his blocks, but he is delayed in finding work. This can lead to second level defenders getting free to make a play on the ball. While Williams has shown flashes of methodical technique, he has lapses with his lower half. His footwork can get sloppy at times, making him look clumsy as a pass protector. Williams tends to play too high at times, allowing edge rushes to use leverage to make a move around him.

Conclusion: Cameron Williams brings an intimidating frame to the tackle position. His violent nature is shown on every rep. He can come into the NFL and immediately hold his own due to that mindset and his size.
