Background: Quandarrius “Que” Robinson was a 4-star top 100 recruit in the class of 2020. Robinson was a top 5 outside linebacker and a top-rated prospect in Alabama. Out of Birmingham, Alabama, Robinson played for Jackson-Olin High School. Robinson was selected as a U.S. Army All-American after his high school career. Que Robinson chose to play for Alabama over Auburn, Kentucky, and others.

College: Robinson redshirted in 2020 and became a special teams player in 2021. In 2022, Robinson played both special teams and rotated in on defense. He had the same role for the Tide in 2023, posting 2.5 TFLs and 1.5 sacks. In 2024, before suffering a season-ending injury, Robinson had 7 TFLs and 4 sacks.

Strengths: Quandarrius “Que” Robinson has all the tools to succeed at the next level. He never got the runway at Alabama to really put it together for a full season. He has a lot less time on task compared to other prospects and is seen as an extremely raw player. Robinson has plenty of untapped potential, which is good to here considering what he has already proven up to this point. Que has the athletic profile and the frame of a dominant edge rusher/linebacker hybrid. His ability to play that hybrid role goes all the way back when he used to play safety. He has a sudden and explosive get off to put offensive tackles on their heels. He has the bend and speed to win on the edge, but he also has the power and the length to get engaged in the phone booth and work through an offensive tackle. As a run defender, Robinson does well to contain the edge and prevent ball carriers from bouncing it to the outside. Robinson also has extensive special teams experience in college, where he could see work right away in the NFL.

Weaknesses: Que shows hesitancy when diagnosing the run, which can take him behind a play before he recognizes it. He can get swallowed up by double teams due to his lack of pass rush plan. Once his initial rush is stalled, either in a one on one matchup or by a double team, he does not seem to have a plan to counter. In the run game, Robinson can fall victim to backside blocks. He does not read the offensive line well and does not have a good feel for how the play develops.

Conclusion: Que Robinson has plenty of untapped potential and could see his development skyrocket. In his current state, Robinson could not hold his own as a regular rotational edge rusher. However, if an NFL defense can develop him behind the scenes while making him a special teams ace, he could be a serviceable defender down the line.
