Blake Corum Scouting Report
Corum has been the focal point of the Michigan offense as they have not necessarily had a proficient passing game. Pound for pound, Corum may be one of the strongest players in the country.
Joe Milton Scouting Report
Joe Milton pairs unmatched arm strength with athleticism to scramble and escape a messy pocket. His arm strength is what eventually got him the starting job at Tennessee. He truly may enter the NFL and have the strongest arm in the league, over guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes.
JJ McCarthy Scouting Report
JJ McCarthy has been fortunate enough to be a part of a team in which he does not have to be the reason they win the game. Michigan’s offense is a run-first offense and when McCarthy is called upon he can either use his legs to gain chunks of yards, or they can rely on his arm to produce in big ways.
Roman Wilson Scouting Report
Roman Wilson is a stronger, more compact wide receiver. He combines this strength with a deep threat ability, giving him an interesting skillset as a smaller player. He is able to make contested catches due to that strength in his arms.
Junior Colson Scouting Report
In coverage, Colson displays good instincts as he roams the intermediate areas of the field. As a quick twitch athlete, he is able to bounce around the field quite easily.
Zak Zinter Scouting Report
Zak Zinter is a mauler in the run game. He plays with a ferocious willingness to finish his assignment and looks to embarrass the opponent.
Kris Jenkins Scouting Report
Kris Jenkins is a dynamic pass rusher from the interior. Not only can he lineup as a 3-tech, he can also kick out to set the edge as a 5-tech. He is strong enough and has enough length to knock back any offensive lineman, no matter the position.
Mike Morris Scouting Report
Mike Morris is a bigger edge rusher that offers the versatility to move all over the defensive line. He has shown the ability to provide high-level play at both the 3-tech as well as the edge. Morris brings a lot of energy to the line of scrimmage and is extremely relentless when it comes to chasing down the quarterback.
Ronnie Bell Scouting Report
Ronnie Bell was a player who made an instant impact on the Wolverines’ offense. As a freshman, he appeared in all 13 games at wide receiver and also was a large contributor to the special teams units. By his sophomore season, Bell was earning the team’s Offensive MVP award and was officially the X- Factor on that offense. Aside from a 2021 season in which Bell suffered a torn ACL, he has been the leading receiver for Michigan and has flashed in bunches.
DJ Turner Scouting Report
When covering go routes, Turner displays loose hips and turns on the burners to stick with the receiver. Turner is able to look back at the ball and make a play, rather than getting grabby and locking eyes onto the receiver. DJ Turner is also a more than willing tackler. He loves being physical and making his presence felt on the field any chance he can get.
Mazi Smith Scouting Report
Mazi Smith is an elite defender of the run. He may very well be the best run defender in the nation. His ability to bounce off blockers at the line of scrimmage and lunge into a tackle to avoid the ball carrier gaining any yards is second to none. Smith consistently plays at a good pad level and is able to get into the chest of offensive linemen and knock them back off their base.
